This project reimagined a traditional hutch into a fresh, contemporary showpiece. The original dark wood was refinished in a crisp white, with the interior lined in a bold, hand-painted patterned backdrop to add vibrancy and depth. Plexiglass hutch doors frame the design, while a top-mounted plug-in light highlights the objects within.

The redesign includes two fixed shelves for display and new legs inspired by Michael Pekovich’s modern interpretation of the classic cabriole form—bringing a refined, handcrafted touch to the piece.

This transformation highlights what’s possible when traditional furniture meets a modern vision: a balance of craftsmanship, character, and fresh design that makes an old piece entirely new again.
